Love Arrow

Hand carved in driftwood with a metal tip, this arrow comes housed in a velvet lined box.

Designed to aid you in falling in love with your chosen person, found in the wild, where your true love exists somewhere right at this moment. This love dart mimics the sharp, calcareous “arrow” which some hermaphroditic land snails create inside themselves, designed to be fired as a contact shot into the body of their selected true love. 

They are shaped in nature as they are in our imaginations, paralleled with the love darts fired by the Greek God Eros, later called Cupid’s Arrows in Roman mythology. As educated naturalists, no doubt the Greeks knew about these snail behaviours, hence the myth of Cupid’s own arrows has its basis in this snail species. Aim this in the direction of your one true love to find your trail towards them. Use at your own risk. Think before you fire, because after all, the snail is slow and considered but the arrow flies fast. Once you let it go, from then there is no turning back.
